2006 Ministry Report
The year 2006 was a record year for our Bible distribution.
With 2,490 Bibles, 2,025 New Testaments and 239,292 books of the bible or other scripture books, our total was 243,807 items of scripture given out. This was an increase of 32,407 over 2005, or +15.3% (Increase of 76.7% over two years).
Our Volunteers distributed 93,395 books, making 712 visits to hospitals, nursing homes, missions and other places.
14,920 scriptures were given to twelve associated ministries in the Philadelphia area.
We gave 254 grants to other Christian churches and ministries of 69,923 Bibles, New Testaments and books.
Our representatives also gave out 48,708 items at various outreach activities which we attended.
We served a total of 25 hospitals and 48 homes - retirement, nursing, rehabilitation and hospice.
It was great year for scripture distribution. God has blessed us beyond our imagination!
In 2006 we spent $49,708 to purchase or have scriptures printed. For 2007 we have increased our budget for scriptures to $72,000.
If God should lead you to help us pay for the scriptures we need, we would welcome any contribution.
I did have a similar problem before but I don't remember which site it was with or how it was corrected.
The Philadelphia Bibiel Society Inc. is exempt from Federal Income Tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donors may deduct contributions to the society as provided in section 170 of the code. Bequets, legacies, transfers and gifts to the society are deductible for federal estate and gift tax purposes provided the applicable sections of the code are complied with. A financial report for 2006 is available upon request.
